London, 12th September, 2019 – A major global carrier and logistics group headquarted in Europe, is integrating Bolero International’s electronic bills of lading (eBL) technology into its back-office systems to deliver paperless digital solutions to customers.
Scalable and highly secure, Bolero uses API technology to integrate with the carrier’s systems, delivering a solution that is compliant with international standards, making it accepted by banks, insurers and authorities moving into the paperless environment. Its advanced, in-built flexibility also facilitates full interoperability with new blockchain ecosystems such as Voltron.
The white-labelled solution will enable the carrier’s customers to benefit hugely from enhanced transparency, speed, efficiency and security when handling one of the most important and complex documents in world trade. Customers will be able to transfer title, conduct reviews and amendments online, rapidly speeding up cash-flow. Goods will be released faster and banks can make payment to shippers far more quickly.
Andrew Raymond, CEO of Bolero said: “This is the second major carrier in the last 18 months that is able to deliver eBL services on a large scale to its customers and importantly both are being powered by Bolero technology. Our eBL solutions continue to achieve worldwide acceptance not just by carriers but across the entire supply chain including buyers, sellers and the banking community.
Bolero’s eBL solutions are fast becoming the industry standard that can be easily integrated into existing back-office systems, on-line portals and ecommerce platforms. This gives carriers the ability to bring innovative front-end digital BL services faster to market, avoiding costly bespoke development.
